Professional staff  

Tishma employs a highly qualified staff of 95. In addition 22 therapists work at Tishma, including an art therapist, 3 music therapists, 5 speech therapists, 5 occupational therapists and one physical therapist. Our team also consists of two part-time psychologists, one psychiatrist and two social workers who work with both students and parents.  

All of our supervisors have or are studying towards postgraduate level education in a relevant field such as Special Education or Psychology, and they all either have, or are studying toward, the internationally recognized BCBA (Behavioral Analyst Certification Board) qualification.

Tishma’s qualified and experienced staff create a customized program for each child called an Individual Educational Plan (IEP).  Each IEP is complete with short and long term goals which are designed to encourage the development of independent functioning in all areas. Individual progress is tracked and documented continuously, allowing for adjustments to be made as needed, and progress to be monitored closely.
